ALEJANDRA CÁRDENAS
Alejandra Cárdenas (Ale Hop) is a Peruvian-born artist. Cárdenas began her career in Lima’s underground music scene in the 2000s. Her work encompasses various formats such as live shows, albums, multimedia artworks and research. "A Body Like a Home" is a sonic memoir exploring the tangled realms of trauma, recovery, and love through autobiographical soundscapes. A Body Like a Home is the artist at her most exposed. Comprising 13 songs and 15 poems, the album sees her set aside collaborative fusions for solo catharsis, channeling years of turbulence - intergenerational scars left by colonialism, racism, domestic violence, and alcoholism - into a work that oscillates between brutality and tenderness.

ANELENA TOKU
Anelena Toku is a transdisciplinary artist whose practice spans installation, experimental music, performance, video, photography, and olfactory practices. She lived most of her life in São Paulo, one of the biggest cities of Latin America, but being born in Brazil gave her the possibility to experience a relation to nature with its particular abundance and diversity, and its constant struggles after hundreds of years of exploitation. She is interested in creating with nature not as an object or landscape, but as a living presence entangled with personal, collective, and its inherent memory. She has presented work at Eavesdropping Festival, South London Gallery (UK), CTM Festival (Germany), Kunsthalle Friart (Switzerland), Chicharra Festival (Spain), Festival Novas Frequências and Centro Cultural Vila Itororó (Brazil). In 2022, she was awarded the Prix Palma Ars Acustica with Carla Boregas and Martha Kiss Perrone for the work “What Is Not / O Que Não Está”.

CARLA BOREGAS
Carla Boregas (b. Brazil, 1984) is a musician and sound artist. By merging the organic and the synthesized, Carla builds up sonic scenarios driven by an invisible force, where the sensation of presence and discovery lies between density and delicacy. Her work spans composition, improvisation, performance, sound installation and radio art, and aims to transport the listener to different subjective perspectives of time and space, to invoke memories and to reflect about the nature-human relationship. She also collaborates with artists from dance, film and theater. In 2011, Carla co-founded the punk ethos genre-bending band RAKTA (playing bass and electronics), and since then she has been a very active figure in the Brazilian scene and abroad with several solo projects and collaborations, as well as running AUTA (*2019†2020), a venue dedicated to experimental music in São Paulo, and the record label Dama Da Noite Discos. Since 2015, she is also part of Fronte Violeta, a transdisciplinary duo that investigates sound in a multi-sensory way always guided by a continuous interest in restoring and awakening sensitivity through a dialogue with the natural world.

ENXIN/ONYX
Teetering precariously between discord and harmony, the prismatic distortion of Tot Onyx (Tommi Tokyo, formerly of group A) and Hiro Kone’s (Nicky Mao) project Enxin/Onyx abandons all former distinctions for something mutable and unsettling. Known for their intense and mesmerizing live sets, the duo put out their debut album In Rupture with OP in 2025. At moments metallic and feral, at others murky and sharp, each song of the album serves as an offering for all that is in rupture; body, spirit, land, ecosystem. To be in rupture is regeneration, to be in rupture is to return.

SARY MOUSSA
Sary Moussa is a musician who has been an active member of Beirut's underground scene for around two decades. Specialising in sound design and textural experimentation, Moussa's work spans drone-driven electro-acoustic compositions to dance-floor electronics. "Wind, Again", his latest album on OP approaches distinct musical worlds and languages by bringing together improvisations by musicians performing on Western and West Asian instruments such as the Hammond organ, clarinet, saz, and buzuk with electronic arrangements and textures. Composed of six tracks, each of which demonstrate an array of recording and processing techniques, the album generates moments of tension produced by the synthesis of textural, tonal, and harmonic encounters that Moussa calls “shadows”, which outline an impressionistic musical language, existing at the edge of familiarity. These shadows are articulations of sounds steeped in traditions they are never quite tethered to. Such articulations are implied and alluded to, they play within a musical reference without the latter explicitly existing in the recording, always teetering, never completely here nor there. Sonically and musically, the album is fueled by the cultural, social, and personal realities that Moussa was brought up and lives in.

Ali Sethi, hailed as “the king of the modern ghazal,” first blew up the charts with his record-breaking hit “Pasoori,” which has now surpassed 1 billion streams. A master of microtonal singing, Sethi’s music is a rich fusion of traditional qawwali, ghazals, and modern innovation. Multi-talented Lydia Lunch was a pioneer of the late 70s no wave music scene, having been heavily influenced by the genre when she moved into a communal house of musicians in New York at 16 years old. Though she was an originator of no wave, she also performed and wrote songs in many different musical styles to avoid categorisation. Lunch has defied expectations, acquired international acclaim and proved herself to be one of the most unique and courageous artists of our generation. In the mid-70s, Lunch formed the band Teenage Jesus and the Jerks with musicians James Chance, Reck, Jody Harris and Bradley Field. The band rebelliously challenged the normative depictions of women.

JOHN BENCE
John Bence employs music as a tangible expression of the immaterial. The British composer’s visceral and spiritual sound world probes the metaphysical. Raised in Bristol’s burgeoning underground electronic music scene and a graduate of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, John Bence manages to employ compositional complexity to manifest potent emotions.

TEENAGE JESUS AND THE JERKS
Formed in 1977 New York, Teenage Jesus and the Jerks were pioneers of the No Wave movement. Lydia Lunch, after meeting saxophonist James Chance at CBGB, began combining her radical poetry with acoustic guitar. The band’s sound was a raw, dissonant assault on rock convention. Though short-lived, their confrontational minimalism left a permanent scar on underground music.

TEREPA
Terepa is an experimental project featuring seven improvisers: Rashad Becker, Charlotte Collin, Lucrecia Dalt, Laurel Halo, Julia Holter, Kohei Matsunaga, and Grégoire Simon. Their radical concept stripped away all conventional cues. The sessions were recorded with no visual contact and no pre-arranged signals. Instead, each performer simultaneously launched into a twenty-minute improvisation guided solely by intuition and perhaps intangible telepathic powers.

EZEKIEL HONIG
In Ezekiel Honig's emotively warm electronic-acoustic music, plastic, metal, wood, and air coalesce with Rhodes, guitar, horns, and piano, creating a sound of contrast and contradiction, pairing inviting, fuzzy chords with clunky and dirty mishaps. Honig finds this sense of balance, of past and future, acoustic and digital, abstraction and concrete immediacy, by grounding himself in the idea that a sound can be a representation of infinite stories, emotions, possibilities, and simultaneously be just a sound to be used in a work of audio.
